We are looking for a skilled Line Cook to join our deli team — someone who takes pride in quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality. This role is rooted in line cooking but spans all aspects of our deli operation: from house-made soups and sandwiches to fresh-sliced meats, artisan cheeses, salads, and grab-and-go items crafted daily. What You'll Do Work the line cooking hot and cold food to order — executing prep, cooking, and plating of deli menu items including soups, hot entrees, and daily specials with speed and consistency. Operate and maintain deli equipment including slicers, scales, and prep tools safely and efficiently. Greet customers warmly, assist with product selection, and answer questions about ingredients and preparation methods. Assemble and package orders neatly and to portioning standards, ensuring consistency across every item. Perform temperature checks and follow all food safety protocols, labeling, dating, and FIFO stock rotation. Keep the deli area, equipment, display cases, and surfaces clean and organized throughout every shift. Assist with special orders, catering trays, and event prep as needed. Communicate restocking needs proactively; assist with opening and closing duties including sanitizing and inventory. What We're Looking For Prior experience in a kitchen, deli, restaurant, or food service environment (preferred but not required). Genuine enthusiasm for food quality, preparation, and sharing that passion with customers. Strong attention to food safety, sanitation, and proper storage practices. Ability to follow detailed recipes and portioning standards with precision and consistency. Reliable, punctual, and accountable — you show up ready to contribute every shift. A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to work all aspects of the deli Food handler certification (preferred but not required) Familiarity with specialty or artisan deli products is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented attitude Physical Requirements This is an active role requiring the ability to stand and move for up to 8 - 10 hours, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repeated cutting, slicing, and prep motions throughout a shift. Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
Pay:
