Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of deli sandwiches, salads, and other hot or cold food items with precision and speed Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, sales processing, and cash handling Assist customers with their selections, upselling products to enhance their experience and increase sales opportunities Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure product freshness throughout your shift Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and balancing registers at the end of each shift Support overall store operations by bussing tables or cleaning workstations as needed Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, deli or kitchen environments, or retail food service preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts Ability to work independently during night hours in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Previous restaurant or grocery store experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential This role is paid and offers an engaging environment for those passionate about culinary arts and customer service.
