Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving delicious deli items. You will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring that all food handling and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches to customers. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety guidelines. Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately while processing customer transactions. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling products when appropriate. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking items as needed. Perform basic math calculations for pricing and portioning of food items. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours in a quick-service environment. Follow all company policies regarding food handling and safety procedures. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or a quick-service fast food restaurant is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash register operations and basic retail math skills is advantageous. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while delivering outstanding customer service. Strong communication skills with a focus on building rapport with customers.
