Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for our chefs to create delicious meals. This position requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the preparation of sauces, dressings, and other food items as directed by the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage practices. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high-quality standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary. Skills Proficiency in food service techniques, including knife skills and food handling practices. Experience in the food industry, preferably in a kitchen setting. Strong understanding of culinary principles and techniques related to food preparation. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Knowledge of menu planning and dietary needs is a plus.
