Sandwich Maker/Barista

Overview Join our growing bagel shop as a Sandwich Maker and Barista! In this role, you'll craft delicious sandwiches, serve hand-crafted coffee, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, retail math, and food safety while working alongside a friendly, dedicated team. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh sandwiches, wraps, and other food items according to established recipes and quality standards Brew and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup Operate POS systems such as Toast POS Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and accurate order fulfillment Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for transactions and change Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred Experience in food handling, food preparation, or food service environments is advantageous Familiarity with POS systems Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced bagel shop Join our growing bagel shop!
