Responsibilities Prepare and assemble deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and charcuterie boards with precision and care Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and upselling products to enhance sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the deli area is tidy and inviting at all times Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, and produce using appropriate kitchen equipment Support cashiering duties including cash handling, basic math calculations for transactions, and managing cash register operations Uphold safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and general kitchen hygiene to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers Qualifications Previous experience in food service or retail environments such as grocery stores or quick service restaurants is preferred Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for sales transactions and inventory management Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices Experience working in a café or restaurant environment is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join us as a Deli Associate where your energy fuels our success!
