Job Description

Position Overview The Sandwich Maker / Bakery Cook plays a vital role in delivering high-quality baked goods that reflect the brand's standards and commitment to excellence. This position is responsible for preparing made to order sandwiches, accurately according to recipes and specific customer preferences, baking, and finishing products with consistency, care, and attention to detail. While primarily back of house, the Sandwich Maker supports the overall guest experience by ensuring every item served is fresh, beautifully executed, and made with pride. What You'll Do Prepare & Bake with Excellence Assemble sandwiches quickly and accurately according to recipes and specific customer preferences. Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and components according to recipes and standards Bake, finish, and present products with consistency and attention to detail Follow production schedules to ensure freshness and availability Maintain product quality across all batches and shifts Comfortable cooking on the line, finishing and pastry prep. Protect Quality & Consistency Execute recipes accurately, measuring ingredients and following procedures Monitor bake times, temperatures, and product appearance Assist with quality control and product evaluation Communicate any recipe, product, or equipment concerns to leadership Support Daily Operations Assist with opening and/or closing bakery production as assigned Maintain organized, clean, and efficient workstations Label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products properly Support inventory counts, prep lists, and waste control efforts Food Safety & Cleanliness Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and production areas Properly handle food allergens and adhere to safety guidelines Report safety, maintenance, or equipment issues promptly Teamwork & Culture Work collaboratively with bakers, FOH team members, and leadership Support teammates during high-volume production periods Be receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement Contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture What We're Looking For Passion for baking, food craftsmanship, and quality 1-2 years of bakery, pastry, or kitchen experience preferred Ability to follow recipes and production standards consistently Strong time management and attention to detail Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Dependable, organized, and team-oriented mindset Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a bakery environment with heat, cold, and food allergens Why Join Us Competitive hourly pay Opportunities for growth within a quality-driven bakery brand Collaborative and supportive team environment Employee discounts and benefits as offered
