Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Deli Clerk, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for customers seeking fresh, quality deli products. In this lively role, you'll be the face of our deli department, providing exceptional customer service, showcasing your product knowledge, and ensuring the display and stock of deli items are always inviting. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to a vibrant shopping experience that keeps customers coming back for more! Duties Be able to read and write in English Greet customers warmly and assist with their selections, offering product demos and upselling suggestions to enhance their experience Prepare and package deli meats, cheeses, salads, and other specialty items accurately and efficiently Maintain attractive merchandising displays that highlight featured products and promotions Stock shelves, coolers, and display cases regularly to ensure freshness and availability Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for smooth cashiering transactions, including cash handling and basic retail math calculations Provide excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries Support product demos and educate customers on new or featured deli offerings to boost sales Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred, especially with deli or food service departments Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform physical tasks involved in stocking and display setup Embark on a rewarding journey where your proactive attitude and passion for food retail will make a real difference.
