Deli Associate

Job Summary Cermak Produce is a high-volume, fast-paced grocery store proudly serving a diverse community of English and Spanish-speaking customers. Responsibilities:

Slice deli meats and cheeses with precision using commercial slicers Portion, package, and label both hot and cold prepared foods Accurately wrap and price items using PLU codes and deli scale systems Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment Keep deli displays fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations Assist customers with deli orders, samples, and product questions in both English and Spanish Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and maintain an organized work area Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and friendly service Take direction from deli supervisors and store management

Qualifications:

Bilingual in English and Spanish - required Entry-level or experienced - we provide training for the right candidate Comfortable and safe using slicers, scales, and other deli equipment Familiarity with PLU codes and basic weighing/pricing processes Positive, customer-first attitude with solid communication skills Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work various shifts (including weekends & holidays) Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Thrives in a fast-paced environment and handles pressure well Join the Cermak Produce team and be part of a supportive, vibrant workplace where we value great food, great service, and great people.
