Job Description

Overview The Crew Member at Burger Factory is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and performing various kitchen tasks. The role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
  • Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions about the menu and up-selling products.
  • Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash, calculating change accurately and quickly as required.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare food, including meat prep, cutting vegetables, checking inventory, restocking, and filling out sauces while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements.
  • Operate specific kitchen machinery such as soft-serve ice cream machines, meat slicers, French fry cutters, fryers, griddles, and food processors, and assist with other kitchen-related functions as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking the temperature of products.
  • Receive inventory, move, and lift food and beverage products and supplies.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness by clearing tables, returning trays to the kitchen, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils, and servicing/cleaning restrooms.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to create work schedules, train new employees, and resolve any interpersonal issues as needed.
  • Handle guests' concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Obtain a Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of starting employment (at own cost).
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy items, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
