Part-time (with potential for additional hours) About Grano Grano Panadería y Café is a Mexican-owned café and bakery serving specialty coffee, fresh pan dulce, sandwiches, and seasonal offerings inspired by our culture and community. We're a growing small business looking for someone who enjoys food, creativity, and working in a collaborative environment. Position Overview We're looking for a dependable team member with kitchen experience who can help us expand and improve our food menu. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating, testing, and refining recipes while also helping with daily kitchen operations. Coffee experience is not required—we can teach that. We're primarily looking for someone who understands food, flavors, prep work, and kitchen execution. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations Help develop and test new menu items Prepare sandwiches, breakfast items, pastries, and seasonal specials Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards Assist with inventory and prep planning Support front-of-house operations when needed Learn basic coffee and café service (training provided) Qualifications Previous kitchen, food prep, bakery, café, or restaurant experience preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Interest in menu development and food creativity Strong work ethic and reliability Positive attitude and willingness to learn Knowledge of Mexican food and ingredients is a plus but not required What We're Looking For We're not looking for a celebrity chef. We're looking for someone who enjoys food, has kitchen experience, and wants to help build a menu that reflects the identity of our café and bakery.
