Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Sandwich Artist at Rossi's Deli and become the face of a fast-paced, customer-focused food service environment. Whether you're preparing fresh ingredients, managing orders at the POS system, or assisting with food safety and sanitation, your enthusiasm will drive success every day. Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches and other food items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining freshness and quality. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining proper cash register procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food preparation areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety standards. Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure smooth restaurant flow. Manage time effectively during busy periods to fulfill orders promptly while upholding high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or fast-food environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus; training will be provided if needed. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience working in a café, retail store, grocery store, or similar environment is advantageous.
