Job Description:
This is a seasonal position that will serve at a program site of the McGaw YMCA' s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and is responsible for the operational aspects of distributing USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) approved meals for children ages 18 and under. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the USDA, cooperating with required site monitoring visits and training, submitting required reimbursement material, and communicating program difficulties, accomplishments, and challenges to appropriate personnel.

Essential Functions:
Clearly communicate the purpose of the Summer Meals Program. Follow strict health and safety guidelines including but not limited to frequently sanitizing hands; maintaining six foot social distancing from coworkers, and attending training and other required meetings. Provide excellent record keeping regarding meal requirements and the number of participants. Attend required summer meals operations training. Ensure site compliance with onsite record keeping
  • inventory control sheets, meal count records, daily meal counts Ensure logistical support and information is provided to appropriate Food Service Program personnel related to product inventory and orders, deliveries and storage, etc.

Summer Food Service Program Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
Must be mature, punctual, dependable, good decision maker, trainable, good communication skills Must be available for training Computer skills for training purposes are preferred Applicants with clean driving record and able to drive van are encouraged to apply. Must be able to work in weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat and rain, and also stand for periods of time.
