Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including sliced meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods with precision and care Assist customers in selecting products, offering recommendations and upselling to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work areas, utensils, and food contact surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the deli area is inviting and well-maintained throughout your shift Handle cash transactions responsibly, including cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy Support food safety protocols by properly handling food products, adhering to sanitation guidelines, and managing inventory levels Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service or fast-food restaurants is preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude and a passion for serving others Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between food prep and customer interactions Basic math skills for cash handling, grocery store transactions, and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Experience working in a retail grocery store or café environment is advantageous Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates familiarity with food industry operations Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering quality products with enthusiasm!
