Central Office School Nutrition Services Accounting Clerk Job Goal:
Be responsible for detailed documentation and financial accountability within the School Nutrition Department.

Compensation will be based on 260 contract days on the board approved SNAC schedule. This position requires an 8-hour workday.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in bookkeeping desired. Demonstrated attitude, competence or training for the assigned responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
Employee must be able to push, pull, carry and lift large and/or heavy items up to 40 pounds. Employee must have the ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop and climb. Employee must be able to perform physical labor. Must have valid driver's license.
Performance Responsibilities:
Payroll, verify accurate information on time clock, exception forms, non-sick leave forms and sick cards. Complete paperwork and turn into the Payroll Department. Reconcile bank statements. Have current knowledge of program rules, regulations and requirements. Ability to process and issue orders as needed by having a clear understanding of the OVEC bid process. Knowledge of the free and reduced application guidelines and operation. Assist with eligibility and all components of the program. Meet required schedules and time lines for submission of payroll and all required reports. Certifier of new employees according to state certification guidelines. Maintain, verify and meet deadlines for the D3/D4/D5 and other necessary records to be compiled for the monthly claim that is submitted to the School Nutrition and Health Services. Accounts receivable, payment of all invoices. Issue Purchase Orders and process as needed: maintenance, vendors, etc. Basic knowledge of current point-of-sale (POS) program and ability to problem solve with managers and kitchen staff concerning POS system. Handle collections of Insufficient Funds. Other duties as assigned to assure a high-quality lunch program.
