Job Description

The Community Food Program Associate (CFPA) is based at A Place To Turn and reports directly to the Executive Director. A Place To Turn is a food pantry serving 12 MetroWest communities. The Community Food Program was launched in September 2025 to increase access to fresh food. Through the program, we bring food to the places people live and congregate in collaboration with community partners. The CFPA will work closely with the Community Food Program Coordinator, who leads the Community Food Program, to coordinate and expand the program. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, mission-driven professional to work with experienced staff to sustain and expand a developing program. Tasks and Responsibilities Work with the Community Food Coordinator to build and sustain strong working relationships with community partners. Take the lead on logistical aspects of managing food distribution to partners. Attend and assist with managing mobile markets at partner sites. This will require some weekend and evening hours. Coordinate and manage Community Food Program volunteers. Develop an understanding of the food systems in the region with a focus on the opportunities and challenges for those experiencing barriers to food access. Work closely with the staff at A Place To Turn and help with pantry operations when needed. Experience, Skills and Attributes Passion for working to solve food insecurity. Strong interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively. Valid driver's license and willingness to drive agency van and truck. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work some nights and weekends. Bi-lingual (Spanish or Portuguese). Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
