Cafe Team Member - Prep

Café Prep Team Member We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our café prep team at Guido's Café in Pittsfield. This is a crucial behind-the-scenes role that helps ensure the café runs smoothly each day.

Schedule:

Part-time, year-round position. Preferred availability is 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday) , with flexibility as needed. Shifts are typically 5:00 AM - 7:30 AM or 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM , with occasional additional shifts (3-4 times per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients for daily café operations, including washing, cutting, and portioning fruits and vegetables for smoothies, juices, and prepared foods Brew and portion coffee and tea supplies as needed for service Stock and organize prep stations, coolers, and back stock areas to ensure smooth workflow during busy hours Assist in assembling grab-and-go items or basic café offerings as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of all prep areas, including proper rotation and labeling of ingredients Monitor inventory levels of key items such as produce, dairy, and dry goods; communicate low stock to supervisors Wash dishes, utensils, and prep equipment to maintain a clean and efficient workspace Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper handling and storage procedures Operate and sanitize kitchen and café equipment safely and correctly This role is essential to the café's daily success, ensuring that all ingredients and stations are fully prepared for the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer service. Pay:
