Responsibilities Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items efficiently while adhering to quality standards. Engage with customers in a friendly, positive manner, taking their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Upsell additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food handling areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations. Manage cash handling duties accurately, including cashiering and processing transactions swiftly at the POS station. Restock supplies, organize ingredients, and assist with food prep to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours. Support team members by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and assisting in kitchen or food prep tasks as needed. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities. Ability to handle food safely, follow sanitation procedures, and maintain proper food handling practices. Basic math skills for cash handling, grocery store transactions, and retail math calculations. Experience in food industry roles such as serving, cashiering, or café work is advantageous but not required.
