Host and Server:

An Iron Fish Server is part of the very first connection our guests have with our brand. They're vital to that first impression when our guests make that long trip down a long dirt road. The warmth of a good smile and the ability to give proper attention are crucial in fostering true brand affection.

Job Responsibilities:

Servers take orders, clean tables, collect payments, check customer age, answer customer inquiries, and reset tables for the next service. Welcome guests into our merchandise BIN, guiding them in the tasting of spirits, use of Iron Fish Spirits in cocktails and selection of merchandise. Provide a unique and engaging experience for our guests that promotes and builds brand loyalty, spirits/products/cocktail sales, and hospitality. Effectively and consistently educate, prepare and serve our guests premium crafted cocktails, spirits, food and conduct bottle sales of our farm distilled and hand-made products. Accurately take orders, set expectations, deliver orders, including cocktails, pour and serve tastings of spirits and food. Describe each product properly. Set-up and/or oversee private events as scheduled. Assist in the stocking, bar prep, and pre shift organization. Accurately and consistently process all sales transactions via an iPad based POS system (e.g. Square). Thoroughly perform all opening and/or closing responsibilities which include but are not limited to ensuring all open tabs are closed, reconciliation of the cash drawer(s) and preparation of night deposit, stocking, folding, cleaning, sweeping and emptying per established protocols and processes. Answer phones and assist with inquiries.

Required Qualifications:

Available to work weekends and most holidays during the day to evening hours. Experience in the food and beverage industry. Experience in a retail setting. Strong customer service and hospitality acumen. Strong communication skills (written and oral). Technical proficiency with point of sales software and money handling. Ability to multi-task. Familiarity with basic food and serving of food. Able to work in a collaborative team environment with a selfless commitment to the customer. Self-starter with an ability to anticipate and pro-actively accomplish tasks. Ability to lift 20-30 lbs. required. Commitment to adhere to all State of Michigan Liquor laws and obtain TIPS certification. Positions Reports to Tasting Room Manager.
