Broders' Cucina Italiana has been serving and selling house-made and quality imported pastas and risottos since 1982, focusing both on Italian regional traditions as well as seasonal and local ingredients. Our pastry program is a cornerstone of what makes Broders' special — every item is crafted with care, quality ingredients, and a deep respect for the traditions that make Italian food timeless.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Pastry Team Member to join our kitchen crew. This is a full-time position working, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- weekend availability is required.
The ideal candidate brings a genuine love for pastry and baking, takes pride in the quality of everything they produce, and is eager to be part of a team that holds itself to a high standard. You will work closely with our Pastry Manager to execute daily production, maintain quality standards, and help bring our seasonal menu to life.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Execute daily pastry prep lists with accuracy, consistency, and attention to quality
- Assist in food production processes by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and ensuring consistent quality across all products
- Produce baked goods, desserts, and pastry components to Broders' recipes and standards
- Assist in maintaining accurate prep lists and tracking production needs
- Support seasonal menu changes as directed by the Pastry Manager
- Train on new menu items and adapt quickly to evolving recipes and techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked pastry station throughout each shift
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Communicate clearly with the pastry team and broader BOH team on production and pacing
- Perform other related duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING
- At least 2 years of experience working in a pastry kitchen.
- Strong foundation in pastry techniques, baking, and ingredient knowledge
- A high standard for quality — you care that every item leaving the kitchen is right
- Ability to stay organized and execute efficiently during busy morning production
- A team-first attitude and willingness to support your crew wherever needed
- Openness to learning new techniques and adapting to seasonal menus
- Friday through Tuesday AM availability required
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum 2 years of pastry kitchen experience required
- Ability to be a reliable, accountable team player
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced production environment
- Spanish language skills are a bonus!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods standing and walking on hard surfaces
- Extensive bending, grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the kitchen
