Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and store incoming seafood shipments, ensuring freshness and quality standards are maintained Prepare fish and seafood items through cleaning, filleting, portioning, and other food preparation techniques Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fish market area to uphold food safety regulations Assist customers by providing product knowledge, recommendations, and exceptional service Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Support meal preparation tasks for in-store dining or catering events as needed Operate knives and other culinary tools skillfully to ensure efficient and safe food processing Requirements Prior experience in food handling, seafood preparation, or working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is highly preferred Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently fillet and prepare fish and seafood products Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a food service setting Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, proactive approach Experience in cooking, meal preparation, or catering is a plus but not mandatory A genuine interest in the food industry and culinary arts to deliver quality products consistently Embark on a rewarding career where your culinary skills make a difference!
