Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and maintaining fresh product displays Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with their selections and answering questions about products Operate POS systems for sales transactions Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including food handling, bussing tables, and sanitizing work surfaces Manage inventory levels by restocking deli items and rotating products to ensure freshness Follow all food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures to ensure quality standards are met Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service or working in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse shoppers Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate measurement of ingredients Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a retail grocery or café setting Previous restaurant or grocery store experience is highly desirable but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Join us as a Deli Clerk where your energy fuels our success!
