Our team takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and professionally run environment where dogs are safely supervised and clients feel confident leaving their pets in our care. We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented individuals to join our growing team. Our Daycare Attendants / Kennel Technicians play a critical role in delivering exceptional care while upholding the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and client service. This is not a sitting job — our team is actively supervising dogs, maintaining the facility, and ensuring safety throughout the entire shift. Position Overview The Daycare Attendant / Kennel Technician is responsible for supervising structured daycare playgroups, carefully monitoring dog behavior to ensure safe and positive social interactions, and maintaining a clean, sanitary, and well-presented facility throughout each shift. Daily responsibilities include feeding dogs according to individual instructions, capturing high-quality photos and updates for pet parents, supporting overall facility operations, and communicating professionally and positively with clients. Above all, our team ensures every dog in our care is treated with the same attentiveness, safety, and compassion we would expect for our own pets. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, physical stamina, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. Team members are actively engaged throughout their shifts — monitoring playgroups, cleaning continuously, and maintaining a safe environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Dog Safety & Playgroup Supervision Safely supervise structured dog playgroups Monitor dog body language and behavior to prevent conflicts Group dogs appropriately based on size, temperament, and play style Interrupt unsafe play and escalate concerns when necessary Ensure dogs are always supervised and safe Animal Care Feed dogs according to individual instructions Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, or stress Maintain proper hydration and comfort for dogs in our care Ensure dogs are treated with patience, care, and respect at all times Maintain a zero-tolerance standard for any form of animal mistreatment Client Communication & Photos Capture high-quality photos of daycare and boarding dogs Upload photos and updates for pet parents Interact professionally and positively with clients when needed Facility Cleanliness & Operations Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the facility Clean kennels, play yards, and common areas regularly Perform laundry and sanitation duties Support general facility upkeep and organization Assist with bathing dogs when needed Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with fellow team members to manage playgroups Communicate clearly with team members and management Assist with additional operational tasks as assigned Work Environment This is a physically active, hands-on role.
Team members should expect to:
Be on their feet for most of the shift Work outdoors in various weather conditions Clean frequently throughout the day Handle energetic dogs of all sizes Work in a fast-paced environment where safety is the top priority You should expect to get dirty and to work outdoors for much of the day, including in hot, cold, and rainy conditions. Working with dogs is extremely rewarding, but it also requires focus, stamina, and constant awareness. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older Availability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays Comfortable working with all breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment Strong team player who can also work independently Must have reliable transportation to and from work Preferred Experience Dog daycare or boarding facility experience Kennel technician experience Animal handling or animal care background Experience supervising dog playgroups Comprehensive behavioral and procedural training will be provided.
