Full Job Description Oak View Group:

Position Summary:
The Event Crew Member is primarily responsible for the changeover in the assigned location(s) from one event to another. Additionally, you may be involved in other aspects of building maintenance to include painting, trash disposal, exterior facility care, snow removal, furniture moving, etc. This responsibility requires physical labor and heavy lifting and therefore has lifting requirements. This is a vital component of the venue in responding to the needs of promoters and clients—a positive attitude and a positive appearance are essential. This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.

Venue:
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions; cultural arts showcases; concerts; theater performances; educational activities; fairs; and exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000-seat Greensboro Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Phish, as well as today's biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. The complex also includes the 167,000-square-foot Special Events Center, encompassing three exhibition halls, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms. Additionally, there's White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, ACC Hall of Champions, and the 300-seat Odeon Theatre.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events. Setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment. Responding to promoters'/clients' needs as directed. Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Assist, when necessary, with pre/post-event cleaning. Get in and around the facility, walking the entire shift, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and dealing with moderate to loud noises. Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, entrances, the event plaza, and snow removal as required. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, patching, and other conversion-related operational equipment Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment. Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment. Work effectively under pressure and a stringent schedule to produce accurate results. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Experience:
1 to 2 years of event changeover experience. Ability to work under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timetables. Ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and certification required for pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment.
