Responsibilities Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments. Upsell menu items and suggest add-ons to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, dining space, and throughout the restaurant by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Restock supplies, ingredients, and condiments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure quick service delivery. Follow all food safety regulations and health guidelines to uphold a safe environment for both customers and team members. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching. Experience working in a café or grocery store environment is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is key.
