Counter Help/Deli

Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Help to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and food preparation, ensuring that every guest has a positive experience. This role involves working at the front counter, assisting customers, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests and taking orders efficiently. Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, dining space, and kitchen as per sanitation guidelines. Assist with bussing tables and restocking supplies . Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in a bagel shop, deli, diner, pizzeria or restaurant is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests. Experience in the food industry, including serving or cashiering is beneficial.
