Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their selections at the deli counter, providing excellent customer service. Prepare and assemble food items such as sandwiches, salads, charcuterie boards, and other deli offerings with precision and care. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately while upselling products to enhance the customer experience. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining cash handling accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations. Restock the deli counter with fresh products, monitor inventory levels, and assist in food ordering when necessary. Support food safety practices by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring all items are stored correctly. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments such as grocery stores or quick service restaurants is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy weekend shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to upsell products effectively. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory counting. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
