Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including slicing meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, and packaging ready-to-eat items with precision and care Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently while providing excellent customer service Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area by regularly cleaning counters, utensils, and food preparation surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about ingredients or dietary needs, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end Restock shelves with fresh products, monitor inventory levels, and communicate shortages or reorder needs promptly Support food safety practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols at all times Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments such as grocery stores or quick service restaurants Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between tasks seamlessly Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Culinary experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in lively environments and are passionate about delivering quality food experiences. Pay:
