Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker/Cashier to join our vibrant food service team. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and experience in quick service environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches, handling customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere in our café or fast-food setting. Prior experience in food industry roles such as restaurant, retail, or grocery store environments is a plus, along with familiarity with POS and kitchen display systems. Duties Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate POS systems (kitchen display screens) efficiently for order processing and cash handling Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and upsell menu items to enhance sales Manage cash register operations including cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipt issuance Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, assembling ingredients, and maintaining food station cleanliness Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing work surfaces Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all menu items Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations End of day cleaning of kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or cashier roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants is preferred Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively Experience in culinary arts, serving, or kitchen work is a plus but not required Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed •Full Time Position Available. 6 am.- 2:30pm This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are valued.
