Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; ensure all food handling procedures are followed meticulously. Restock shelves, display cases, and prep stations to keep the deli area organized and inviting for shoppers. Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables using proper safety protocols. Support food safety practices by adhering to sanitation guidelines, proper food storage procedures, and cross-contamination prevention. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting. Able to work an 11am - 8pm shift with a reliable transportation plan. Skills Proven experience in food preparation or food service roles within the food industry or grocery store environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly attitude. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices essential for maintaining health regulations. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management skills are crucial. Basic math skills for retail label calculations. Experience in culinary tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, or preparing salads. Capable of standing for extended periods while performing physical tasks like lifting boxes or moving supplies.
