We are seeking an experienced Deli Counter Associate / Charcutier & Cheesemonger to help bring our artisanal salumi, cheeses, and prepared goods to life while delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role sits at the heart of our Alimentari—working directly with guests at the counter, slicing and preparing cured meats and cheeses, and sharing knowledge of our curated Italian offerings. While this is a retail-facing position, it is highly culinary-driven and requires strong product knowledge, technical deli skills, and a passion for food storytelling and sales. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a deli, cheese shop, or specialty market and is comfortable using slicers, handling a wide range of cheeses and cured meats, and engaging guests with confidence. You will be expected to both prepare and sell products, guiding guests through selections while maintaining speed, accuracy, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment. REQUIRED 1-2
years experience in food & beverage, deli, specialty market, or hospitality environment Experience using deli slicers and handling cured meats and cheeses Strong familiarity with cheese and charcuterie products preferred Guest-facing experience with comfort in selling and educating customers Basic knife skills and kitchen tool proficiency Experience with POS systems Strong communication skills and a professional, guest-focused demeanor Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Passion for food, learning, and sharing product knowledge
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Ability to stand for 4-8 hours per shift with occasional bending, reaching, and climbing Ability to work in a restaurant environment with varying temperatures English fluency required for effective guest communication and safety-related functions
PREFERRED
Experience with Italian cuisine or Italian specialty products Background in cheese mongering, salumi, or high-end deli environments Interest in sales performance and guest engagement within a food retail setting Desire for growth, learning, and development within a culinary-driven restaurant group Want to learn more about us?
