Paradox Brewery, 2781 U.S. 9 North Hudson, NY 12855 Packaging 23.00 usd / hour Full time
General Scope:
As a member of the packaging and cellar team this position is responsible for the operation of all packaging equipment including, but not limited to:
CFT 10-2
rotary canning line Codi Manufacturing depalletizer Premier Stainless 5-head keg washer various conveyors Ancillary pumps and compressors. In addition to running and maintaining packaging equipment, this position cooperates on finished product inventory tracking, engaging in all cold-side cellar operations including CIPs, transfers, dry hop and cold-side additions, yeast harvesting, yeast health monitoring, process and wholeslaer order staging, gravity/pH/DO/CO2 readings, purging, and general cellar maintenance. This position requires exicutiting packaging runs in an efficient manner and to ensure product meets all company standards for fill volume, dissolved oxygen levels, and seam specifications, while minimizing product and packaging-goods loss. Applicants should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working across departments, and be capable of operating a forklift in tight spaces. Many of the skills and responsibilities can and will be taught over time. There are many opportunities to learn and excel depending on your capabilities, willingness, and availability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Execute all aspects of packaging to specifications and ensure safety and quality Responsible for proper and timely packaging of beer including kegging and canning Lead canning runs utilizing a
CFT 10-2
canning line Build and pack 12-packs and mix-packs Ensure all beer is in the proper condition (temperature, carbonation level, etc.) prior to packaging Ensure all packaging activity is done according to its SOP label placement, date code, yield, can fill-height, and dissolved oxygen levels Maintain proper packaging records and logs, including TPO measurements Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all packaging equipment Ensure regular maintenance of packaging equipment in conjunction with facilities/maintenance manager Execute all cold-side cellar operations including CIPs, transfers, dry hop and cold-side additions, yeast harvesting, yeast health monitoring, and process staging Gravity/pH/DO/CO2 readings and record keeping Chemical handling and titrations Putting together/taking apart manifolds Maintaining cellar equipment including hardware, pumps, hosing, heat exchangers, and compressors Maintaining cellar and warehouse organization including hosing, fittings, hardware, tools, brinks, buckets, and equipment Working with high pressures Ability to run forklift in tight spaces Prepare shipments to PDX wholesalers and contract clients Load/unload freight deliveries and shipments Work closely with the General Sales Manager, Production Manager, and Director of Operations to manage in-code inventory Maintain finished goods and warehouse inventory Cleaning of all exterior surfaces including the cellar, tanks, kegs, canning line, floors, walls, etc. Maintaining a safe, healthy, and clean work environment Assisting all Production Team members in their roles whenever possible Participating in Team Meetings Adhering to all safety protocols implemented by Paradox Brewery Attention to detail and efficiency in all aspects of work Special projects as assigned by management

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Wage:
$23/Hour+ depending on experience.
