Site Work Technician Location:
Ontario, NY | Onsite Required Our client is looking for a Sr. Site Work Technician to join their growing excavation team onsite. Do you have expert-level skills in excavation, grading, and underground utilities installation? Compensation:
$26-$33/hour, depending on experience Year-end performance bonus potential Health and Dental benefits can be negotiated 401k can be negotiated Paid Time Off can be negotiated A Day in the Life of the Sr. Site Work Technician As a Sr. Site Work Technician, you'll be hands-on in the field, performing skilled excavation and sitework tasks while helping to guide and support your crew. You'll operate equipment, install underground utilities, assist with project planning, and maintain high-quality, safety-focused performance, all while leading by example and encouraging your team to succeed.
Responsibilities include:
Perform skilled labor in excavation, grading, and utility installation Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, excavators, dozers, and haul trucks Interpret project drawings and scopes, and execute work to quality and production standards Maintain compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards Set up and troubleshoot GPS, lasers, and pipe lasers Assist the project leader with planning and organizing materials, manpower, and timelines Keep job sites organized and efficient with professional use of tools, materials, and documentation Identify issues ahead of time and ensure the crew is equipped for success Uphold company values of integrity, teamwork, and a strong work ethic
Requirements and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in excavation, site work, or underground utility installation Strong experience in underground utility installation (sanitary, sewer, storm, water) Experience in setting up and using GPS systems AND pipe lasers Positive, professional attitude with a natural ability to encourage others High standards for safety, quality, and integrity Ability to anticipate project needs and take initiative About the
