Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deli orders
  • Prepare and serve a variety of deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot foods
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
  • Stock and rotate deli products to ensure freshness
  • Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Upsell deli products to increase sales
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Skills:
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Restaurant experience: Familiarity with working in a restaurant or food service setting
  • Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Bussing:
    Ability to clear tables and clean dining areas as needed
  • Culinary skills: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Food service: Understanding of customer service principles in a food service setting
  • Retail math: Proficiency in basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
  • Upselling:
    Ability to suggest additional products or upgrades to customers to increase sales
