Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Deli Clerk and become the heart of our food service operation! Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats, cheeses, and fresh produce with precision and care Serve customers efficiently while providing excellent customer service and product recommendations through upselling techniques Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations and store policies Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and sales recording Restock deli items regularly to ensure product availability and visual appeal Assist with food handling, packaging, labeling, and maintaining proper food storage procedures Support other store functions such as bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and ensuring overall sanitation in the deli section Requirements Prior experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate weights and bending frequently Previous restaurant experience or culinary background is advantageous but not required Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering quality food and exceptional service!
