This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food service, quick thinking, and a positive attitude. Duties Prepare and serve food items efficiently according to established recipes and standards Operate Square POS system for order processing and payments Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations Upsell menu items to maximize sales and enhance customer experience Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food cart, including food handling and bussing duties Ensure food safety standards are consistently met and adhered to Assist with food prep, stocking supplies, and maintaining inventory levels Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the food cart Skills Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within the food service or quick service restaurant industry preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and kitchen calculations Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail environment is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills Join our team as Counter Help at our Food Cart where your enthusiasm for food service will shine.
