You are responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and high-quality service while keeping the dining area and service line running smoothly from open to close. This role is fast-paced, hands-on, and requires someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a team environment, and genuinely enjoys serving people. Responsibilities Guest Service Greet every guest with a warm, welcoming attitude as they approach the line Guide guests through the menu with confidence, making recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, allergens, and customizations Build each order accurately and efficiently according to the guest's preferences Handle transactions at the register including cash, card, and mobile orders with accuracy Resolve guest concerns or complaints quickly and professionally, always prioritizing the guest experience Maintain a positive, high-energy presence on the line even during peak rush periods Food Line & Service Set up and stock the service line before each shift ensuring all proteins, toppings, salsas, and sauces are fresh, full, and properly labeled Maintain proper food temperatures on the line and monitor freshness throughout the shift Portion food consistently and correctly according to Qdoba standards Wrap and package burritos, bowls, tacos, and other menu items neatly and accurately Restock the line continuously throughout the shift so guests never experience an empty station Communicate low inventory to the kitchen team before items run out Chip Frying & Tortilla Operations Fry tortilla chips fresh throughout the shift following Qdoba's safety and quality procedures Monitor oil temperature and fry times to ensure chips are golden, crispy, and consistent every batch Season chips immediately after frying to Qdoba's standard Operate the fryer safely at all times including proper use of fry baskets, tongs, and heat-resistant equipment Drain, filter, and maintain fry oil according to schedule and food safety guidelines Fry and prepare taco shells and other tortilla-based items as needed throughout service Deliveries & Product Storage Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries verifying product quality, quantity, and condition before accepting Follow the established delivery flow charts and organizational systems for putting all product away correctly — no shortcuts, no improvising Store all perishable items including proteins, dairy, and fresh produce in the correct cooler or walk-in location immediately upon delivery at proper temperature Store all non-perishable and dry goods in the correct designated locations in dry storage according to the organizational system in place Rotate all product using FIFO — first in, first out — every time without exception so older product is always used first Ensure all delivered product is properly labeled and dated before it is stored Never store product on the floor, in an incorrect location, or outside of its designated area Report any delivery discrepancies, damaged product, or missing items to the shift lead or manager immediately Dining Room & Front of House Maintenance Keep the dining room clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the entire shift Wipe down tables, chairs, and booths regularly without waiting to be asked Sweep and mop the dining room floor as needed during and after service Empty trash cans in the dining area before they overflow Restock napkins, utensils, lids, straws, and condiment stations consistently Maintain clean and fully stocked drink stations for guests at all times Sanitize high-touch surfaces including door handles, counters, and condiment dispensers regularly Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all food safety and sanitation standards including proper handwashing, glove use, and cross-contamination prevention Monitor and log food temperatures on the line as required Label and date all food items correctly Notify a manager immediately of any food safety concerns Complete opening and closing sanitation checklists thoroughly and on time Team & Operations Communicate clearly and constantly with teammates and kitchen staff to keep the line moving Support the kitchen team during rushes by running food, calling out orders, and keeping the flow organized Complete all assigned opening, mid, and closing side work without being reminded Attend team meetings and training sessions as scheduled Follow all Qdoba uniform, appearance, and conduct standards Show up on time, ready to work, and maintain a positive attitude throughout every shift What We're Looking For A genuine passion for serving people and creating a great guest experience Ability to stand, move, and stay active for the full duration of a shift Comfort working around hot equipment including fryers and steam wells Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Food handler certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Previous restaurant or customer service experience a plus but not required — we train the right people Why Qdoba At Qdoba we believe great food starts with great people.
