Job Summary As a Jimmy John's Inshop team member, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our sandwiches are made to perfection. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for food preparation, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Your ability to manage time effectively and engage with customers will contribute to the overall success of our shop. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to Jimmy John's specifications while adhering to food safety guidelines. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Upsell menu items and promotions to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience for guests. Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications. Experience with upselling techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job.
