Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of deli items including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, ensuring quality standards are met consistently Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items to enhance sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory levels to ensure fresh products are always available Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, and vegetables using appropriate kitchen equipment Support cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and balancing registers at shift end Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafes, or grocery stores is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours Demonstrated ability in customer service, upselling, and sales techniques to promote products effectively Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and bending in a fast-paced environment Culinary experience or restaurant background is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Join us as a Deli Clerk and bring your energy to a role that combines culinary craftsmanship with outstanding customer interactions.
