The Food Service Associate prepares and serves healthy meals to students in accordance with National School Lunch Program guidelines. This a 12 month position. Monday-Friday 6 am-2 pm schedule 40 hrs/week Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org/careers )
  • Prepare food according to menu plan, with variations to accommodate special dietary needs of students
  • Serve food on cafeteria line and ensure fresh presentation in sufficient amounts
  • Maintain clean work area, including following a "clean-as-you-go" procedure
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance adhering to specific dress code
  • Always wear clean apron and gloves when working with food
  • Check kitchen and dining areas for dirty dishes and clean dishes after each meal service
  • Sweep kitchen area daily
  • Help unload food orders
  • Maintain a good work relationship with fellow kitchen and school staff
  • May adjust schedule when necessary to cover absent food service personnel
  • Other kitchen duties as necessary
  • Provide visual supervision of students Qualifications and Skills Education High school diploma or GED Food service training preferred Experience 1 year of experience of food preparation, if no formal training Cafeteria experience preferred Licenses, Certifications & Clearances Certified in Food Protection within 1 year PA State and FBI Criminal background clearances PA Child Abuse clearance Comprehensive Benefits and Total Rewards Package $1,000 hiring bonus eligible!
