Responsibilities Prepare and assemble bakery and deli items according to quality standards, including slicing meats, cheeses, and baked goods Provide friendly, attentive customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items to enhance sales Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food displays, and customer areas in compliance with food safety regulations Restock shelves, display cases, and refrigerated units to ensure product availability and visual appeal Assist with food preparation tasks such as wrapping sandwiches, assembling salads, or preparing baked goods for sale Support cashiering duties by managing cash registers accurately while providing excellent service during busy hours Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafés is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks quickly while maintaining quality standards Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Ability to perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and inventory management Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and effective communication abilities Experience working in retail or grocery store settings is a plus; culinary experience is valued but not required This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced retail food environment while delivering memorable experiences for our customers.
