Job Description

Food Production Crew Member (Back of House) Job Description The Food Production Crew Member is responsible for preparing high quality food safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This back of house position focuses on food preparation, cooking, fryer station, kitchen cleanliness, product quality, and supporting smooth restaurant operations during all shifts. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards Operate fryers, ovens, warmers, and other kitchen equipment safely Prepare chicken, sides, vegetables, sauces, and other food products Maintain proper cooking times, temperatures, and product quality Ensure food is fresh, properly portioned, and presented correctly Keep kitchen stations stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift Follow food safety, sanitation, and cross contamination prevention procedures Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed Receive, rotate, and store inventory using FIFO methods Assist with truck deliveries and stocking product Maintain prep levels to support front of house demand Communicate with front of house team to ensure timely order completion Complete opening, shift change, and closing kitchen duties Report equipment or safety issues to management immediately Support team members and help maintain a productive work environment Requirements Must meet minimum age requirements to legally operate fryers, knives, and kitchen equipment based on state and local laws Ability to safely use knives, fryers, and cooking equipment after training Ability to work in a fast paced, hot kitchen environment Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Reliable attendance and punctuality Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and safety standards Team player with strong work ethic Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not required
