Animal Flow Team Member

Join our dynamic Animal Care Team as an Animal Flow Team Member and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and support for our furry friends! In this energetic role, you will assist with daily animal husbandry, and then provide outstanding customer service to the public that are wanting to adopt, foster or learn more information about the pets in our care. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help promote the well-being of animals while supporting our mission to deliver outstanding pet care services. Process intake of stray, owner surrender, or police custody animals per shelter protocols. Solicit guidance from manager or director regarding unclear or difficult intake decisions. Assist with communication, scheduling and coordinating public s/n services Complete foster, adoption, and return to owner transactions. Communicate with fosters to schedule treatments or visits with potential adopters. Welcome visitors to the building and facilitate visits with animals per shelter protocols. Provide excellent customer service to visitors and callers. Explain shelter policies in a friendly manner and escalate needs to a manager as needed. Maintain a clean, welcoming environment in office area of shelter Process foster or adoption applications. Seeks guidance from manager or director when safety or appropriate fit concerns are present. Supervise office volunteers Assist Animal Care staff, following shelter protocols. Clean cat cages Feed cats Clean kennels and crates Walk dogs Laundry Other tasks as assigned by manager or director Assignment to office vs animal care tasks to be determined daily in consideration of that day's staffing and expected activity.
