Job Description
Custom Cake Cakery is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join our growing bakery team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting guests with orders, maintaining the bakery display, and ensuring a welcoming experience for every customer. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service. Assist customers with placing orders and answering product questions. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments accurately. Package baked goods, cakes, and desserts for customers. Maintain bakery displays and keep products stocked and organized. Answer phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and assist with order pickups. Keep the front counter, dining area, and customer spaces clean and presentable. Assist with daily opening and closing duties. Support the bakery team with light prep, packaging, and organizational tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience preferred. Friendly, professional, and positive attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and cash-handling skills. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Weekend availability required.
