Temporary Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly dependable Runner III (Advanced) to support production and operations teams during the MLB Cincinnati vs. Milwaukee series at American Family Field. This is the highest-level runner position on-site and is ideal for individuals with extensive live event, broadcast, or sports production experience who can operate independently while serving as a key extension of the operations team. The Runner III will provide logistical support, coordinate transportation and errands, distribute critical event information, and assist talent and production personnel. In addition to standard runner responsibilities, this role is expected to anticipate operational needs, proactively solve problems, and provide guidance and leadership to other runners on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted extension of the operations and production teams throughout the event.
  • Execute all Runner II responsibilities, including:
  • Running errands and transporting equipment, supplies, and credentials.
  • Assisting with talent, guest, and crew transportation.
  • Distributing schedules, updates, and other event-related information.
  • Supporting production staff with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Arrive prepared to work with minimal supervision and independently prioritize tasks.
  • Anticipate team needs and proactively address issues before they arise.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with production, operations, engineering, talent, and venue personnel.
  • Provide direction, support, and mentorship to Runner I and Runner II staff.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the event and production team.
  • Ensure timely completion of assignments in a fast-paced live-event environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a runner on live sports, broadcast, entertainment, or large-scale event productions.
  • Strong understanding of event operations and production workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little to no direction.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional, dependable, and highly trusted by operations and production personnel.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment and supplies as needed.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior MLB, professional sports, or live broadcast production experience.
  • Experience supervising or leading event support staff.
  • Familiarity with stadium operations and credentialed event environments.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move event materials and equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
The Runner III plays a critical role in ensuring smooth event execution and serves as a reliable resource for all departments. Candidates should be proactive, resourceful, and capable of maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the event.
