Deli Associate

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food and a pleasant shopping experience. Duties Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and other food products in accordance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and work surfaces. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their selections. Operate the cash register and POS system efficiently, handling transactions accurately. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed to ensure product availability. Adhere to food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all products served. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support overall store operations. Experience Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy periods. Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems is beneficial. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices is an advantage. Experience working in a grocery store or café setting is a plus.
