Deli Service Specialist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Duties Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches to customers. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS, to process customer transactions accurately. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about products. Perform basic math calculations for portioning and pricing items. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Buss tables and clean up after customers to maintain a tidy dining environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the deli department. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or grocery store setting is preferred but not required. Strong food service skills with an emphasis on customer interaction. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; experience with Aloha POS is highly desirable. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout your shift.
