Part Time Tasting Room Associate - Seasonal Pelio Estate Wines Carmel Valley, CA Job Details Part-time $17 - $20 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications Retail sales transactions Product presentation Packing Cash register operations Attention to detail Full Job Description About the job In the year 2000, the Pelio family purchased land in Carmel Valley, identified by wine experts as an ideal area for planting wine grape varietals. Initially, all grapes and juice were sold. After much consideration, and to showcase Greg and Chris Vita's exceptional wine making skills, the family decided to open a new tasting room in Carmel Valley, Monterey County. The tasting room is located at the old Cowgirl Winery. For the first time, we will start selling our label wines, beginning with the 2016 vintage of
PELIO ESTATE WINES.
Job Description:
- Promote wine club and meet sales goals
- Must have tasting room or winery experience
- Pack wine for retail orders and quarterly wine club shipments
- Assist in events, and various site activities
- Must have a positive and hospitable attitude
- Follow site policies and procedures with a focus on safety
- Strong attention to detail
- Exemplary customer service skills and sales acumen
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to relay knowledge of wines and wine production
- Must have a clean professional appearance
- Great multi-tasking skills
- This position requires weekend work as well as some holidays and evenings
- Must work well independently as well as in a team environment
- Set-up and host guest wine tastings
- Operate cash register/POS Other tasks may be assigned as needed
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age Must be able to lift 40lbs Must complete RBS certification training Must be available to work weekendsBenefits:
