We are a growing mid-sized family-owned winery in Lodi, CA. At Stama, we specialize in making the best wines for our label and our clients. We are seeking hard working team players to join our cellar team. This is a full time position. Prior winery experience is preferred, but more important is reliability. The right candidate will have close attention to detail, willingness to learn and a desire to challenge themselves both physically and intellectually.
Responsibilities include:
  • Cleaning & sanitizing.
  • Receiving & processing fruit.
  • Making additions to juice and wine.
  • Pump-overs, wine transfers, pressing, racking, topping etc.
  • Other cellar tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Be able to work long hours and stay focused.
  • Must be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, reach, climb, kneel, pull/push and twist.
  • Work around moving equipment, and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Wear required PPE and practice safe handling of chemicals.
  • Stand for long periods of time, walk up and down staircases, climb ladders occasionally.
  • Work indoor and outdoor; Occasional exposure to elements: wind, rain, sun.
  • Ability to accurately measure, weigh and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work most days with possible overtime.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to communicate well with others.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation.
  • Forklift experience a plus, but not required.
