Create a Harvest Help Alert Harvest Intern - Vineyard, Cellar, and Lab Clos Du Val Wine Co.
Napa, CA Apply Job Description:
Established in 1972, Clos du Val is an iconic Napa winery and family-owned business, celebrating 54 years of producing exceptional hand-crafted wines with a focus on the Stags Leap District. Clos du Val is seeking a Vineyard/Cellar/Lab Intern to be a part of our dynamic production team for the 2026 harvest season! The ideal candidate would be motivated to help create the highest quality Bordeaux variety wines. The position will begin in the vineyards with grape sampling, then transition into the cellar and help the lab as needed. There will be opportunities for involvement in all aspects of harvest from grape to barrel, including cellar and lab work. Join an expert team making remarkable Napa Valley wines and experience harvest from the inside. Work closely with the winemaker and team to understand decision making and processing operations, participate in educational tastings, and collaborate with a variety of individuals.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Vineyard grape sampling (from our estate vineyards and around Napa Valley)
  • Grape sample processing
  • Crush pad activities
  • Pump overs and additions
  • Barrel activities- cleaning, filling, racking, and topping
  • Draining and pressing
  • Cleaning and sanitization of equipment
  • Forklift driving (training will be provided)
  • Fermentation Monitoring
  • Sampling and sample preparation
  • Inoculations and nutrient additions

Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. A good work ethic and willingness to learn are key requirements for this position. Candidates must currently have a valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the US. Internship starts August 3rd and ends late November.
